STEP #1
Dare To Dream!
- Your only constraint is the laws of physics. Send us your concept – whether it’s in CAD, Solidworks® or an idea simply sketched out on a napkin over a beverage with a colleague or client. We can start anywhere – send a screenshot, a link or scan in anything to get us started.
Step #2
Bring Us Your Challenge!
- Cognito’s design and engineering team can work through the process to find a solution utilizing whatever level of contact you would prefer. We are always available to collaborate directly with all involved throughout the process from conception to drawing & prototype to final approval and production. Cognito will utilize phone, email, virtual meetings and our Founder & CEO Eric, loves to jump on a plane and get personally engaged in the process.
STEP #3
Let’s Find a Solution That’s Feasible.
- Cognito has the ability to rapidly evaluate concepts and quickly return solutions to consider. We have 5000 square feet of manufacturing space dedicated only to the design and creation of prototypes. We can typically produce and have a prototype in a box and on the way to the designer/specifiers conference room table for consideration and evaluation in 5 working days.
Step #4
Product Refinement
- We are responsive and agile. You’ve got your drawings and or prototype, let’s dial it in! Cognito’s team of engineers will hone the design to the specifier’s wants, needs and requirements. Refinement at this step is our hallmark because when we’re done here, it’s running down the production line flawlessly.
Step #5
Fabrication
- We’re running your custom product down the assembly line flawlessly now because we perfected the design in the refinement step. Your light fixture is being built, finished, tested and properly packed for shipment. Our facility is turnkey from steel, aluminum and other building material coming in one door and your finished product packaged and loaded on a truck en route to your job site. We manufacture, assemble, paint and test everything under our roof. Made in the USA!

Install It & Realize Your Dream!
- We are still with you to assist in anyway. Conditions change on site and we’re here to support you and help you right through the punch list until your end user is throwing the switch “on” to illuminate their new space. We’ve got your back!
